Locke will play in Eugene

New Oregon verbal commit James "P.J." Locke III

For the second time on Tuesday, Oregon landed a verbal commitment. Beaumont (Tex.) Central DB James Locke has decided to play college football in Eugene.

Three-star defensive back James "P.J." Locke has verbally committed to Oregon.

The 5-foot-10, 189-pound prospect announced his decision at a press conference on Tuesday evening. Locke becomes the second commitment of the day for Oregon following the earlier announcement by four-star quarterback Travis Waller.

With Waller and Locke on board, Oregon already has 11 verbal commitments from the 2015 class. Locke is only the second defensive player to commit following Corona (Calif.) Centennial corner Jihree Stewart.

Locke chose Oregon over Penn State, Michigan State, Stanford, Baylor and TCU.
