| Biography: |
| Jordan Carey is from Capital High School in Olympia, Washington. Carey is a tremendous athlete who played eight different positions on both sides of the ball in high school but probably projects as either a wide receiver or defensive back for Oregon. Following his senior year, he was awarded the Narrows League Bay Division MVP of the year for the second time and was named the state player of the year by the Seattle Times. He was also distinguished as one of seven “Northwest Nuggets” by The News Tribune. As a senior, Carey amassed 2,700 all-purpose yards including 27 touchdowns. He rushed for 1007 yards and caught 51 passes for 889 yards. On defense, he recorded seven interceptions. Carey is ranked as a national Three-Star recruit and the 57th best safety prospect by theInsiders.com and is listed as an All-American wide receiver by PrepStar Magazine. SuperPrep Magazine listed him as an All-American wide receiver ranking him the third highest player in the state of Washington in terms of athletic and academic excellence. At the June 2002 Nike Football Camp Carey measured 5-11 and weighed 193 pounds. He ran the forty-yard dash in 4.4 seconds and recorded a vertical jump of 31.6 inches. Reportedly, Carey carries a 3.6 GPA and is fully qualified for the next level with a 1010 SAT score.
