| Speed, speed and more speed. Best may be the fastest running back in the class of 2007 in the west and he has breakaway speed and quickness that every running back envies. Doesn't run with much power, but with his ability to run, often is moot. |
| Biography: |
| Rushed for nearly 1,500 yards and 16 touchdowns while adding 280 yards through the air and four more touchdowns in helping Salesian win the section title. Had a big championship game, rushing for 222 yards and a pair of scores in the win over Ferndale.
Partial senior season stats (3-1) over 800 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Best's academics are unreported.
Jahvid Best: "Speed is my main strength," Best said. "I also have great vision. I run hard and look for the cutback lane and hit the hole. Once I hit the hole, the lane opens up and I'm gone. The one thing I'd like to do is get bigger and be a more powerful runner."
