The Spring Evaluation period is in full swing and new offers are rolling out. Big 10's Minnesota got…
Is Bellomy Another Texas Prospect For Ducks?
"No sir, I don't."
What kind of contact have you had with Oregon since the recruiting process started for you?
"Well they've always been really recruiting me. I've talked to them on the phone a lot. They came down here for spring practice and we as a team did not have a good practice and I haven't heard from them since. I thought I did pretty well, but it's about the team."
Which coaches from Oregon have you been in the most contact with?
"(Mark) Helfrich and (Scott) Frost."
How often are you in contact with them?
"Well before they came down, at least once or twice a week."
In your conversations with either of those coaches, did they discuss anything about a potential offer coming through for you?
"They did. They said when they came down they would probably offer me, but they didn't."
What is your overall interest in Oregon?
"It's still very high, it just depends on if they're interested."
What is it about Oregon that has you interested?
"Coach Helfrich seemed like a good guy and Oregon is Pac-10 champs and all that good stuff...the affiliation with Nike and just what they have going on up there is great."
How would you describe yourself as a player?
"I'd describe myself as I'm not a one-dimensional quarterback. I'm not just a drop-back passer, I can do many things. I could play in any offense, I'm not limited to one offense. Those are just a few things."
Would you compare yourself to anyone at the collegiate or professional level?
"No sir, I really don't have a role model."
What are you looking for in a program?
"I want to check out obviously the coaches, playing time, conference, where you live, the people that go to the school -- the people you'll be playing with, and obviously how successful the football program is."
Have you given any thought as to the types of things you might want to study when you're in college?
"Yeah I've thought about it, but I just don't know what I'm going to do yet. I'm gonna come in undeclared."
What offers do you currently hold from other schools at this point?
"I have 10. Let me see if I can list them off the top of my head. Purdue, Michigan State, Florida International, UAB, Colorado State, Tulsa, South Florida, Texas State, Minnesota, and Marshall."
Do you have any schools that are leading for you at this point?
"Pretty much everyone that has offered me now is at the top. I'm kind of getting around to seeing things, so I don't really have a favorite right now."
If Oregon did offer you, where would they stand near the top among the offers you have?
"Yes sir. They definitely would be."
Have you taken any Junior Day or unofficial visits yet?
"Yes sir I have. I've been to Houston's Junior Day, Kansas State's Junior Day, Vanderbilt's Junior Day, Kansas' spring game...I've visited TCU, Northwestern and Illinois -- these are all unofficial -- and I've visited Purdue, which was fun."
