Paulson, York Named Pac-10 All-Academic

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- University of Oregon tight end David Paulson and guard Carson York have been named to the Pac-10 all-academic first team, conference officials announced Wednesday.

Pauslon, a sophomore from Auburn, Wash., carries a 3.68 grand point average in Business Administration. He has made five starts this season and is averaging a team-high 15.9 yards per reception.

York, an 11-game starter at left guard as a redshirt freshman, is majoring in Journalism and has a 3.70 GPA. The Coeur d'Alene, Idaho product has played a key role for the Pac-10's top offense and eighth-best rushing attack in the nation.

Junior quarterback Nate Costa (3.46, Sociology) and senior linebacker Riley Showalter (3.10, Business Administration) were named to the second team.

Senior receiver Rory Cavaille, junior center Jordan Holmes and redshirt freshman guard/tackle Nick Cody all received honorable mention. Recommended Stories
