Blount Offers Public Apology

Suspended Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount made a public apology on Thursday by writing a letter to the Daily Emerald, the student newspaper for the University of Oregon. Blount said there was "no justification" for his behavior and offered his "sincerest apologies and heartfelt regrets."

LeGarrette Blount was suspended for the season after an incident following the conclusion of the Oregon-Boise State game on Sept. 2nd. Blount, was considered a sure NFL draft pick in next springs draft. While he is still on the team working with the practice squad, under the terms of his suspension ordered by Head Coach Chip Kelly, Blount will not see any playing further playing time again this season.

Blount went on to say that he does not expect a second chance to play again but hopes he can earn a second chance at a better image by being a student of the university.

"If I am so fortunate," Blount wrote the Daily Emerald, "I believe that I also will demonstrate that I am a better man and a better human being for having lived through this unfortunate experience."
