Eugene - Despite a jittery start that saw the Oregon Ducks fumble on the opening kickoff return, the first half of the Oregon-California game was all Ducks. Oregon ran up a 25-3 lead a Jeremiah Masoli hit 14-of-18 for 155 yards and one touchdown while the Oregon defense held the Bears to 67 yards.

Masoli found his rhythm as he spotted open men and picked the California defense apart. Oregon racked up 304 yards of offense including 149 yards rushing. LaMichael James accounted for 98 yards and a touchdown while Remene Alston came in to plunge the ball in for a touchdown as part of his 25 yards rushing.

Ed Dickson had a touchdown reception and was the leading receiver with seven catches for 88 yards and a touchdown. Dickson's scoring reception was Oregon first touchdown pass and catch for the year.

Jahvid Best, California's talented running back ran for 55 yards.
