Blount Finished at Oregon

Following an incident at Bronco Stadium in Boise last night, Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount has been suspended from the team for the remainder of the season. The suspension means that Blount, a senior is finished playing for Oregon. Oregon Head Coach Chip Kelly made the announcement on Friday afternoon.

In a media release from the University of Oregon Athletic Department, Kelly emphasized that Blount will remain a part of the school's football program and remain on scholarship throughout the remainder of the year. Blount will continue to have access to all of the university's support services provided to all student-athletes, will be allowed to take part in all team activities, including practice with the team, and will be held accountable to all team rules and regulations. However he will not be allowed to participate in any games.

Blount rushed for 1,002 yards a year ago and established a school record with 17 rushing touchdowns. Recommended Stories
