Eugene -- Neither team showed much offense in the first half but the Oregon Ducks held the important score board statistic of a 14-0 lead over UCLA. Oregon scored in the first half on a 5-yard rush by quarterback Jeremiah Masoli and in the closing moments of the second quarter Masoli hit Chris Harper for a 24-yard strike.

Masoli was the leading rusher for both sides with 128 yards and a score. He was 4-for-12, 41 yards and one touchdown.

The game turned into a defensive struggle as neither team could mount sustained drives in the first half. The Ducks held a 212 to 95 yard in total offense advantage over the Bruins.

Oregon did have two other scoring opportunities but place kick Matt Evensen was unable to connect on tries for 42 and 50 yards.

UCLA only scoring chance was a Kai Forbath field goal attempt of 47 yards that missed left.
