The Pacific-10 Conference today announced that Oregon place kicker Matt Evensen was named the Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Purdue in Oregon's 32-26 double overtime win last Saturday.

In an announcement the Pac-10 said, "Evensen, a senior from Portland, Ore., played a critical role in Oregon's 32-26 double-overtime road win at Purdue. The 38-yarder in the fourth quarter tied the game and the 31-yarder came in the first overtime. Evensen also connected on his only two PAT attempts and recorded three touchbacks on his five kickoffs."
