The Eugene Register-Guard reported tonight that Oregon safety Todd Doxey died in an Eugene Hospital following a swimming accident this afternoon on the McKenzie River.

Todd Doxey was a 4-star safety from Hoover High School in San Diego when he was recruited by the Ducks as part of the 2007 recruiting class.

Last year Doxey was not used but was expected to be a contributor this season. Fall camp for the Ducks starts on August 4th.
