Oregon defensive end Nick Reed was honored today by the Pacific-10 Conference by being named Defensive Player of the Week as a result of his performance on Saturday against the Washington State Cougars.

Nick Reed, led Oregon's defense in the Ducks' 53-7 win against Washington State. Reed had a team-high 11 tackles, six solo, including five tackles for loss (-46) and 3.5 quarterback sacks (-44).

The Oregon defense also limited Washington State to 63 yards rushing, 314 yards total offense, posted six quarterback sacks and registered a safety.

Reed also was named national defensive player of the week by the Walter Camp Foundation.
