Speed Talks About Playing Defensive Tackle

Mike Bellotti said that Michael Speed was a starting defensive tackle for the Oregon Ducks because he's been that good to be the starter.

Michael Speed, 6-5, 270 might be considered a bit undersized to be a starting defensive tackle in the Pac-10, but using good technique, quickness and of course speed, Speed has neutralized the advantages a bigger man has.

Speed is entering his junior year at Oregon, and the Business Administration major keeps his pad level low and that rates him high on the Oregon coach's list.

eDuck Sports caught up with Speed at the end of practice on Tuesday (Aug. 21).
