Oregon guard Aaron Brooks, 5-11, became the 26th pick in the 2007 NBA draft when Commissioner David Stern announced Brooks was the Houston Rocket's first round selection.

Brooks is the fifth player in Ernie Kent's tenure to be drafted and the fourth player selected in the first round, the 11th first rounder in school history.

The other Kent players to be selected in the draft are: Bryan Bracey, San Antonio, 2001 (2nd round/58th overall)
Fred Jones, Indiana, 2002 (1st/14th)
Luke Ridnour, Seattle, 2003 (1st/14th)
Luke Jackson, Cleveland, 2004 (1st/10th)

The other Duck first round selections: Jim Loscutoff, Boston, 1954 (4th overall pick)
Jim Barnett, Boston, 1966 (8th)
Stan Love, Baltimore, 1971 (9th)
Ron Lee, Phoenix, 1976 (10th)
Greg Ballard, Washington, 1977 (4th)
Blair Rasmussen, Denver, 1985 (15th)
Terrell Brandon, Cleveland, 1991 (11th)

Jones was part of a trade today when he was moved along with Zach Randolph and Dan Dickau from Portland to the New York Knicks in exchange for Channing Frye and Steve Francis.
