Week 9 for NFL Ducks
Harrington finished the day throwing for 137 yards on a 16-for-32 effort, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Harrington's Dolphin teammate, tight end Justin Peelle had a catch for two yards. The win improves Miami to 2-6 while the Bears slipped to 7-1.
Tight end George Wrighster had a catch for a 14-yard touchdown as his Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3) bested the Tennessee Titans (2-6), 37-7. Titan's linebacker Peter Sirmon had four tackles (three solo).
The San Francisco 49ers improved to 3-5 for the season with a 9-3 win over the Minnesota Vikings. Safety Keith Lewis started for the 49ers and had four tackles (three solo) while offensive lineman Adam Snyder was listed on the participation list. The Vikings are now 4-4 for the year.
Two former Ducks were literally meeting on the field today as defensive lineman Igor Olshansky recorded five tackles (three solo) for the San Diego Chargers (6-2) beat running back Reuben Droughns and the Cleveland Browns, 32-25. Olshansky tackled Droughns twice. Droughns finished the day with 36 yards on 19 carries. The Browns are now 2-6 for the season.
Two former Ducks helped the Baltimore Ravens improve to 6-2 for the year by beating the Cincinnati Bengals 26-20. Ravens wide receiver Demetrius Williams had two receptions for 31 yards and defensive tackle Haloti had an assisted tackle.
Punter Josh Bidwell had eight punts averaging 40.9 yards with a long of 48 and one inside the 20 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-6), but lost 31-14 to New Orleans (6-2). Linebacker Wesly Mallard had a tackle for the Bucs.
Wide Receiver Samie Parker caught a pass for 43 yards for the Kansas City Chiefs (5-3) when they beat the St. Louis Rams 31-17. The Rams are now 4-4 for the year.
The Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles had a bye this week and tomorrow the Oakland Raiders plays the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.
