Griffin makes the call

New Oregon verbal commit Taj Griffin

Four-star Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern running back Taj Griffin announced on Thursday that he has committed to the University of Oregon.

Oregon landed its third verbal commitment of the 2015 class in four-star running back Taj Griffin. The McEachern (Ga.) High School prospect announced his decision on Thursday evening.

Griffin is listed as the sixth-best running back in the country according to and possesses legitimate speed with a reported 40-yard dash time of 4.39 seconds. He holds offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State and UCLA among several others.

Griffin also becomes the Ducks sixth commitment out of the South region since 2013. He joins offensive tackle Zach Okun and tight end Jacob Breeland on the Oregon 2015 verbal commit list. Recommended Stories
