Ducks Pick Up JC Transfer for 2014 Class

According to, the Oregon Ducks have TE Jake McCreath, 6-4, 250, from Modesto Junior College to be a preferred walk-on.

In a post on Talefeathers, Kevin Lustgarten, the publisher of JCFootball and JC GridIron, McCreath will enroll at Oregon in time for fall camp and will have three years of eligibility to be accomplished in three years.

Originally from Ripon High School in Ripon, Calif., McCreath spent a year at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, a NAIA Division II program but transferred to Modesto last year where he played the 2013 season. It is not clear if he played at Morningside.

(Update) After reading the story on eDuck, McCreath messaged eDuck's Robby Boydstun and clarified his status. He was offered to be a preferred walk-on and is not on scholarship. Recommended Stories
