Ducks Travel On Christmas

The Oregon Ducks will travel to San Antonio, Texas on Christmas Day and once there will attend the San Antonio Spurs-Houston Rockets basketball game on Christmas night. Oregon will play Texas in the Valero Alamo Bowl on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013.

According to a media release from the Valero Alamo Bowl the Ducks are scheduled to arrive in Texas at 4 p.m. (CT). The first order of business will be Head Coach Mark Helfrich, junior center Hroniss Grasu and senior safety Brian Jackson answering questions from media at the Marriott Riverwalk Hotel, in downtown San Antonio.

Later in the evening the Ducks will be in attendance enjoying some NBA basketball when the Spurs have a home date with the Rockets.

Texas is scheduled to arrive on an independent basis on Thursday with no formal arrival or media availability.

The Ducks and Longhorns will meet on Monday, Dec. 30, in the Alamo Dome capping off the bowl week. Tuesday's Bowl Week event was Bowl Week kickoff event was a San Antonio Food Bank Fund-raiser. In three hours, over 100,000 meals were provided courtesy of the donations raised from 220 tickets from Valero.
