Kazemi Picked by Wizards

Despite playing at Oregon for only one season, forward Arsalan Kazemi was drafted by the Washington Wizards in the second round, the 54th overall selection in the NBA draft on Thursday evening. Kazemi was one of seven Pac-12 players drafted in the 2013 draft.

Arsalan Kazemi came to Oregon after spending the bulk of his college career at Rice and is the first player during Head Coach Dana Altman's tenure at Oregon to be selected in the draft and the latest Oregon player since Malik Hairston and Maarty Leunen in the

Kazemi averaged 9.4 points per game and hauled down an average of 10 boards per contest. Kazemi was also an All-Pac-12 Defensive selection and was named to the All-Conference Championship Tournament team.
