"It was definitely incredible," McCaffrey told eDuck on Tuesday.
"We talked about a lot, basically about what the Oregon football program is," McCaffrey said. "It wasn't just sit down and talk football, it was more getting to know everyone, getting the feel for the campus, getting the feel for some of the players and coaches and how they run things."
On Friday, McCaffrey took in practice and was impressed by seeing Oregon's up-tempo offense in person. He also got to interact with a few of the bigger names on the Oregon roster including quarterback Marcus Mariota and running back De'Anthony Thomas.
"They are definitely awesome people who are very sincere," McCaffrey said. "Marcus Mariota came up to me without hesitation as soon as I walked in the door and introduced himself and was just extremely humble and nice, and I really appreciated that. De'Anthony Thomas is also awesome. There's nothing negative to say about any of the players that I met."
As part of a multi-trip tour, McCaffrey also visited Washington during the weekend and said he enjoyed both visits. However, Oregon left a strong impression that could vault them up his favorites list.
"I'll do my evaluations after I visit these schools to kind of narrow it down even more and I can tell you that Oregon will definitely be one of those schools that I look at." McCaffrey said.
Now that he's made it through a hectic travel schedule over the past few weeks, McCaffrey has chosen to focus on other things outside of recruiting until summer.
"I'm going to kind of take a break from traveling just because I've been a lot of places and it's been hectic the last three weeks here," McCaffrey said. "I'm going to take a little downtime and focus on track and spring ball right now.
McCaffrey wants to decide which school he will attend before next season.
