Ducks win opener 3-0

The 2013 baseball season started off on Friday with Oregon notching a 3-0 win over Hawaii with right hander Jake Reed throwing six shutout innings. Christian Jones picked up the save at Les Murakami Stadium in Honolulu.

The Ducks and Rainbows will face off again on Saturday with the first pitch scheduled for 8:30 p.m. PT. Oregon lefthander Tommy Thorpe is scheduled to match pitches with Hawaii southpaw Quintin Torres-Costa.
