Talk about bouncing back. Following four months of strenuous shoulder rehabilitation, Cordell Dorsey hit the ground running (and earlier than expected) entering his junior season for Abilene Cooper, capping 135 tackles, 11 sacks, 10 forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries with Texas 5A All-State Honorable Mention honors. He attributes this success to his Brian Dawkins-like double persona.

It was in February that Cordell Dorsey suffered a a torn ligament and cracked rotator cuff in his right shoulder. "My PT said I'm actually two months ahead of myself in rehab. So I'm making good progress. But we're going to slow down a bit. Take our time. Not rush it. I'm supposed to be back sometime at the end of July or August," he had reported in April.
