Quick moves up a spot in Scout 300

Scout.com released its final updated ranking for the Class of 2013 and University of Louisville commitment James Quick has moved up a spot with commitment Kyle Bolin also in the top 300. Cardinal Authority has the new rankings.

It's been a big week for Trinity High School wide receiver James Quick.

The Kentucky Mr. Football announced he was headed to the University of Louisville and then was named MVP of the U.S. Army All-American game after catching the game-winning touchdown for the East squad.

Now, Quick has jumped a spot in the national rankings.

In the final Scout.com top 300 for the Class of 2013 released on Wednesday, Quick is ranked as the No. 21 player in the country. He's listed as the No. 3 wide receiver and is a five-star recruit.

He's believed to be the highest-ranked prospect to ever commit to Louisville. Former defensive end Peanut Whitehead was ranked No. 38 in the Class of 2006, while current quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was ranked No. 67 in '11.

Another U of L commitment is ranked in the top 300. Lexington Catholic quarterback Kyle Bolin is a four-star and ranked No. 213 overall. Bolin, who missed much of this season with a knee injury, is the No. 17 ranked quarterback.

U of L is also still recruiting another player ranked – Trinity defensive end Jason Hatcher. He's currently committed to USC but is expected to visit U of L. Hatcher is ranked No. 101 and is a four-star and the No. 10 defensive end.
