POLLS: Beavs are ranked 15/16/17/15/13

AS TOUGH A loss as it was in the Civil War for the Beavs and their fans, there's this: Oregon State remained in the nation's top 20 in the polls and rankings that matter, will head into their regular season finale with a chance to go 9-3 and they can get a 10th win in their bowl game.

That bowl game is looking a lot like the Holiday Bowl but there are a few more pieces to the puzzle that have yet to be placed this Saturday.

What we do know is Oregon State is ranked No. 15 in the BCS rankings, exactly where they were last week.

In the AP and Coaches' polls, Oregon State is ranked No. 16 and No. 17.

The Harris poll has the Beavers at No. 15.

And the computers spot Oregon State at No. 13.

Oregon State hosts Nicholls State on Saturday at 11:30 am. The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.

The Beavs will be a prohibitive favorite to win and go 9-3 on the season -- after going 3-9 the year before.

Most projections have Oregon State headed to the Holiday Bowl, where they would likely play Texas Tech.

But ESPN's Brad Edwards has UCLA instead going to the Holiday and Oregon State moving up one spot in the Pac-12 bowl slots to the Alamo Bowl, where they would meet Oklahoma State.

UCLA is 9-3 (6-3 Pac-12) with one more game to go, the Pac-12 title game vs. Stanford. Oregon State (8-3, 6-3) beat UCLA 27-20 earlier in the year.
