SNAPSHOT: At long last, Civil War week
Oregon (10-1, 7-1) needs to win against Oregon State (8-2, 6-2) to have any hope to get back into the national title game picture.
Oregon State needs to win to have a chance to get to 10 wins on the regular season and maximize their bowl prospects.
Some say Oregon will be in for a letdown, having let their undefeated season and national title game slip through their fingers. Don't count on it. Oregon is likely to come out with guns blazing and will score points in bunches if Oregon State doesn't come out and play their best football.
The Ducks are however reeling a bit defensively. They've given up long plays, both on the ground and through the air, more in recent weeks.
But Stanford didn't beat Oregon with its offense as much as it did with its defense. Oregon State, for as badly as they bludgeoned Cal, were not dominating up front in the early stages of the game, something they'll need to improve on if they want to win the Civil War.
