Nigel Williams-Goss to UW

UNCASVILLE, Conn - Lorenzo Romar and his Husky basketball program received good news while in Uncasville, Conn. on Friday when highly-touted high school senior Nigel Williams-Goss sent his NCAA Letter of Intent to Washington.

"We are very pleased to have Nigel join our team," Romar said from Connecticut College, where the Huskies are practicing in preparation for Saturday's game vs. Seton Hall.

"He is a great floor general. He is very intelligent and has high, high basketball I.Q. He understands what it takes to win and is a great leader," continued Romar.

Guys like him don't come around very often."

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound point guard is the second player to join the 2012-13 incoming Husky class. Guard Darin Johnson of Sacramento, Calif. made his pledge to Washington official on Wednesday.
