Three stand out for Brown

Malik Brown admits he isn't thinking too much about his recruitment until his senior season is over, but there are three schools that seem to want him the most. The 2013 defensive end of Dwyer (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) plans to visit those three schools after his season. Get the latest on Brown right here.

Malik Brown says Mississippi State, Syracuse, and South Florida are the schools he hears from the most these days and he plans to visit all three, but not until his season is over.

"I'm keeping in touch with college coaches and everything, but as of right now, I'm just thinking about a state championship," Brown said.

"I'm just putting recruiting to the side, trying to win a state championship. I'm still a high school student, so I have to worry about being a high school student. College is not in my mind right now."

Brown says he has no favorites at this point, but there are great things about each of those three schools.

"(USF is a) great school, they had some tough losses this year, but I love the coaching staff, I think they're developing people. I just think they're a really good school and I like them a lot," he said.

"(Mississippi State is) just a good school to me, it's in the SEC, good competition. I like competition."

Brown says when it comes to Syracuse, he has an especially tight bond with Assistant Head Coach John Anselmo.

"The relationship me and Coach Anselmo have, it's really strong. He came down to the school, we talked, he told me why they wanted me. I have respect for him," he said.

Brown isn't sure about which other two schools may get him for official visits, but he also has offers from Cincinnati, Illinois, Kentucky, Purdue, and more. He expects to have a decision sometime after he takes all his visits. Recommended Stories
