Edna Karr took center stage on Thursday night as the Cougars pounced on Peabody Magnet in the only Louisiana playoff game held that evening. Karr, seeded No. 2 in Class 4A, cruised to a 50-6 win over the Warhorses from Alexandria in a first round contest. Karr four-star 2014 prospect Devante "Speedy" Noil accounted for five touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving, three passing).

Edna Karr is gunning for a third consecutive state championship game appearance. The Cougars finished as runner-up each of the past two years, and it appears that Karr could be on track for a rematch of last year's title game vs. Neville, which is seeded first in the 4A bracket.
