David Patterson visits Oregon

Woodbridge High School offensive tackle David Patterson (Irvine, CA) discussed his visit to Oregon on Sunday with eDuck.com. He posted that "To say I had a great time, would be an understatement."

The senior said that he was offered as a preferred walk-on by Oregon offensive line coach Steve Greatwood in early September after taking a couple of unofficial trips to Eugene in the spring and summer.

After taking in the game atmosphere with Oregon verbal commit and fellow offensive guard Evan Voeller, Patterson left impressed and met with Greatwood after the game. He mentioned that catching up to the Ducks high-octane system would be a challenge.

"It'd be a big change in how you practice and prepare," he said.

In addition to Oregon, Patterson said that he has interest from Nevada, Oregon State —both of which he has visited— and Washington State. Compared to those visits, Eugene was "a lot better," in his opinion.

"Just the way they put everything together, it blows everything out of the water," he said.
