Gardena (Calif.) Serra quarterback Jalen Greene (6-3, 195) led the Cavaliers in a blow out win against rival Los Angeles (Calif.) Cathedral by a score of 42-3 on Friday.
The junior quarterback contributed to the win by not only throwing for three touchdowns, but running for one as well.
Greene, who is averaging 183 passing and 62 rushing yards per game, is already getting some college attention for his stellar performances on the field thus far.
“I have heard from a couple programs including Michigan, UCLA, Colorado, Arizona State, Oregon, Florida State, Notre Dame, and Oregon State.”
Greene has yet to plan any visits, but is following the teams consistently.
“They are all very good programs, I haven’t really talked to a lot of coaches yet, but I love watching them play every Saturday.”
The win on Saturday night brought the Cavaliers to 1-1 in league and 5-2 overall, snapping Cathedral’s six game winning streak. Greene is hoping that momentum will continue on for the remainder of the season.
“We got to keep fighting, keep trusting each other and bring 100 percent each game and just keep getting those W's like we did tonight.”
