Woodward Sets 5K Personal Best in Barcelona

Univeresity of Oregon freshman Allie Woodward set a personal-best of 16:08.29 in the 5,000 meters on Wednesday at the IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championships held in Barcelona, Spain.

According to a media release from the University of Oregon Athletic Department Woodward, from Green Bay, Wis., placed eighth in a race won by Buze Diriba of Ethopia in 15:32.94.

Friday, Arthur Delaney, a freshman from Gresham, Ore., will be in action as a member of Team USA's 4x100 meter relay pool. The preliminary rounds are on Friday with the final on Saturday.
