Oregon freshman Ryan Pickering finished 15th in the men's 10,000 meters on Tuesday at the IAAF World Junior Tranck and Field Championships in Barcelona, Spain on Tuesday.

Pickering ran the race in 31:38.69. Ethiopia's Yigrem Demelash won in a time of 28:16.07.

According to a media release from the Oregon Athletic Department, two other Oregon runners will be in action in the Barcelona games. Allie Woodward will run in the 5,000 meters on Wednesday. Woodward won the U.S. junior title for the 5,000 last month in Bloomington, Ind., with a personal best of 16:15.27.

Arthur Delaney, from Gresham, Ore., is a member of Team USA’s 4x100 meter relay pool. The preliminary rounds are on Friday with the final on Saturday.
