Modesto (Calif.) Central Catholic tight end John Mundt was offered by Oregon a
little over a week ago. After spending some time thinking about it, the
three-star Mundt decided Eugene was where he wanted to spend his college career.
"I've made my decision and I'm committed to Oregon," said Mundt.
The 6-4, 225-pounder, said he was impressed with the coaches and the way they
wanted to use him in their offense.
"What made them the choice was plans they had for me as a tight end," said
Mundt. "And the coaching style also made them the choice."
Mundt was an all-Oakland NFTC selection last month after being the top tight
end performer in Oakland.
Last fall, Mundt caught 17 passes for 314 yards and five touchdowns and added 45 tackles and 7.5 sacks as a 2011 junior at Central Catholic.
