Alonso Reinstated

EUGENE – Junior linebacker Kiko Alonso has been reinstated to the University of Oregon football program, according to the Ducks' Head Football Coach Chip Kelly Friday.

Alonso has been suspended from the school's football program since May after incurring alcohol-related charges associated with an off-campus party.

The former Los Gatos, Calif., prep standout has accumulated 13 career tackles as a collegian and last played in a game for the Ducks in the 2010 Rose Bowl. He missed all of last year with a season-ending injury while serving a one-year suspension for a separate alcohol-related offense. Recommended Stories
